Mission

  • Makes final decisions on a range of matters with staff, parent and student interests in mind and in alignment with the school blueprint
  • Manages personnel issues
  • Receives committee reports and recommendations and votes on them
  • Directs committees to explore options and prepare recommendations
  • Approves annual budget

Board meets the 2nd Thursday of each month from 6:00-8:00pm. School community members are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Rules

  • Follows “Robert’s Rules” for decision making

Membership

  • New Board members are selected by the current Board
  • Can be composed of staff, parents, students, and members of the community
  • No term limits
  • When a Board President plans to step down, in the following year they remain in service to the Board as a “member-at large”
